Also, just in the last week or so Lincoln has started annunciating the final sounds in words. For example, the k in PINK or the r in MIRROR. (Although mirror's a hard one that he's just started saying and he's still struggling with the middle r's.)
He also sometimes adds an ending syllable. I'm not sure what that's about but I wonder if he didn't hear something at school that was close and just applied it. He was saying BLUET the other morning. I couldn't figure out what he was saying even though his annunciation was perfect. I asked him if he was saying x or y and he said NOOO, NOOO. Then, after I changed him out of his pjs he said it again and pointed to his blue shirt. So I asked if he was saying BLUE. He got a huge grin and let me know I had understood. So then he went and pointed to his pjs with a blue stripe on it and then pointed to other blue things in the room. We were both rewarded for that communication.
(Side note, right now everything is blue, so his color identification is not quite as impressive as it sounds. However, he does seem to get blue and point to blue things. The only catch is that when you ask what color other things are he says blue, too.)
