Tubes - Second time

Btw, went for Lincoln's ear doc follow-up. As I suspected a little while back, he can't hear in his one ear. (He failed his hearing test in his right ear.) :o( It's because he still has fluid behind his ear drum. Probably never did go away, just like ear infections in the past. Poor kid. I'd bet that's why he's acting up and even biting - the pressure probably changes.



So, we're getting new tubes in both ears (even though just the one is out and causing problems). He's also going to take our his adenoids while he's in there since this is the second time he'll need tubes. Should help him get to age 4 or so. Once he gets to that point then he should be done with this stuff. (Outgrows it?)



The procedure is on Monday. Last time he was grumpy and miserable that whole day even because of the medicine even though his ears felt better and he could hear. So, Doug is taking the day off work and I will try to work from home. (Since Ben is still at school at Doug's work he will have to be home, too. But, some of the neighbors have volunteered to babysit in the past. We might take them up on it if Lincoln is really needy that day. He'd definitely appreciate the extra attention from us!)
