I'm such a proud mommy - for two nights in a row Lincoln has pulled all the books off of at least one shelf of his bookcase (when he was supposed to be sleeping). I asked him what was going on - why he was doing that. He said 'I can't read words, Mommy'. Super cute.
I asked him if he'd like to learn he eagerly said 'yes'. I told him it might be hard at first but that he'd have so much fun reading!
He's been more interested in letters lately - but we haven't said anything about reading - he got that on his own.
This morning he was still excited about learning to read - ready to start right away. So, we started by finding the A's on his sippee cup. He's really not very close to letter identification - but I'm really pleased and proud that he wants to learn. :)
