Very quick update on Lincoln

Since the end of September it's been crazy. Too crazy, but most was beyond our control. Lots of stuff worth mentioning. I'll give the laundry list of stuff but there are two exciting things. One, Lincoln has been asking to go to this new school since the day he found out which one we chose. We've been taking him for a week now and he loves it even more than the last one, which was great. In fact, there isn't anymore whining about wanting to stay home wiht mommy everyday. This is a bigger feat than it seems since Lincoln has been home with me for about half of the last two weeks (mild but possibly contagious respiratory bug, bit of a stomach bug, two ear infections that were amoxicillian resistant, and then another bit of a stomach bug). Lincoln gets ready eagerly, goes to the car willingly, gets out and is excited about getting to his classroom. I'm LOVING this. In addition, last night Lincoln asked me to come sit with him while he ate his cereal (yes, dinner) so he could tell me about his day!!!! LOVE this, too.
For the record, these illnesses broke Lincoln's doctor-free streak. He hadn't been to the doctor for at least all of 2010. So, I'd guess that he went at least 2 years without a sick visit. I hope this great immune system keeps up! (Even now, he only got a touch of the 5-day stomach bug. He got it twice but was able to do away with it within about a day. Go Lincoln!)
